Drivers.

The drivers are normally installed together with LIXIANGTOOLS. If the program does not detect the adapter or the HU, install them manually.

Silicon Labs CP210x (UART)

Required for CP2102 / CP2104 / CP2105 USB-UART adapters — the client uses them to talk to the head unit's MCU over UART (OPEN ADB, Region, Recovery). After installation, a COM port appears in Device Manager.

Qualcomm HS-USB (QDLoader 9008)

Required if the head unit enters EDL / fastboot mode and Windows does not detect it. Includes ADB, Fastboot, Modem and Network drivers — everything you need for Recovery HU and Region Unlock.

Android SDK Platform-Tools (ADB & Fastboot)

Google's adb.exe and fastboot.exe utilities for working with the Lixiang head unit over ADB (reading logs, installing APKs, flashing the bootloader). Needed for manual diagnostics and advanced scenarios where the standard client is not enough.

Extract the archive to C:\platform-tools and add the path to PATH — then adb and fastboot will be available from any console.

Quick setup in PATH

  1. Extract platform-tools-latest-windows.zip to C:\platform-tools.
  2. Win+R → sysdm.cpl → Advanced → Environment Variables.
  3. Under "User variables", select Path → Edit → New → paste C:\platform-tools.
  4. Open a new console (PowerShell / cmd) and run adb version — it should print the version.

Checking the HU connection

  1. Open a console and run adb devices.
  2. If the HU is in Developer Mode, you will see a line with the serial number and the status device.
  3. If the status is unauthorized, confirm the ADB debugging prompt on the HU screen.
  4. If the list is empty, check the USB cable, the Qualcomm HS-USB driver and the mode on the HU.

Manual installation

  1. Disconnect all UART adapters and cables from the HU.
  2. Extract the archive to any folder.
  3. Run CP210xVCPInstaller_x64.exe (or QDLoader_HS-USB_Driver_64bit_Setup.exe) as administrator.
  4. Connect the device — Windows should detect it. Check in Device Manager:
    • CP210x — Ports (COM & LPT) → Silicon Labs CP210x…
    • Qualcomm 9008 — Ports (COM & LPT) → Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
