We built LIXIANGtools because there is still no single, proper tool for working with Li Auto vehicles in Russia and the CIS. L6, L7, L8, L9 and Mega. OPEN ADB works on OTA 8.6.1 firmware — the list keeps growing, and we add new OTA versions 1–2 weeks after release.
ADB is debug access to the Lixiang head unit. Without it, the manufacturer blocks the installation of third-party apps. OPEN ADB removes this restriction — after that you can install Yandex Maps, YouTube, 2GIS and any APK.
No. LIXIANGTOOLS runs on your Windows PC — connect the HU to a laptop via USB and start the operation. The client detects the model and VIN on its own and downloads the required image. No disassembly needed.
A UART adapter (sold separately) is needed while ADB on the head unit is still closed — for example, for the first OPEN ADB operation or if ADB access has been lost. For other operations (Region Unlock, Recovery HU, LDMevo, etc.) a regular USB cable is enough.
Use Recovery HU: the client downloads the right firmware image by VIN and flashes it to the HU. In 95% of cases this restores the head unit without disassembly — after a reboot the car starts up on factory firmware.
